28 weeks

Happy Holidays!  Sorry it's been so long since our last post.  We've been keeping busy with preparing for the holidays, a trip to New Orleans, preparing the nursery, and as always - trying to keep Frank in line.  We're slowly but surely getting the office turned into the nursery and our crib and dresser/changing table were delivered today :)  Plus, we've officially entered the 3rd trimester!!

In early December Jim joined me in New Orleans for a pharmacy conference.  I quickly learned that, with my heightened sense of smell and complete sobriety, Bourbon St. is no place for a pregnant lady!  Despite that, we had a great time catching up with some old friends!

With everything else going on in our lives, it seems like Christmas came and went in a flash.  Jim and I spent the holiday in Northern California visiting Jim's family and had a great time showing off our little Aidan.... he was quite active and on several occasions the family was able to feel a kick or two.  Unfortunately, we had to head home a little earlier than we would have liked so Jim and I could get back to work.  It's pretty crazy to think the next time we see Jim's side of the family we'll have Aidan with us!!   (PS- to those of you who are paying attention, we've officially decided on a name for our little guy... Aidan James!)

Next week the three of us head to MI for a Thanksgiving/Christmas/Birthday/Baby Shower celebration with the Myers clan.  Although we've been skyping from time to time, I'm pretty sure seeing my belly is going to spark a LOT of excitement for the first-time grandparents!!!  We can't wait for them to see me!

Later this week we have our 28 week Drs appointment along with my glucose tolerance test - not looking forward to that.  Let's just hope I pass so I don't have to repeat it in a few weeks.  As you can see in my belly pic below, Aidan and I continue to grow!  Our next ultrasound is in about a month, check back for some new photos in late January.

Jim and I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2012.
